GDPR Compliant Dictation Solutions from Philips, Speak-IT,, SpeechLive

Is Your Dictation Workflow GDPR Ready?

As of 25th May 2018, the EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) will take effect and replace the current Data Protection Act of 1998. The new regulations apply to all who store and/or process personal and sensitive information and it is crucial that organisations comply to avoid being heavily fined for any breeches of data security.

Dictation Software and Devices for GDPR Compliancy

Philips have updated and adapted their software products to ensure that your dictation workflow is fully secure. The Philips SpeechLive 9 service now includes an enhanced password security policy and robust protection against intrusion attacks, ensuring that only authorised individuals are allowed access. Along with SpeechLive, the Philips SpeechAir Mobile Dictation Device and Philips Voice Recorder app for iOS and Android also come secured with 256-bit AES encryption.

As well as making sure that the SpeechExec 10.5 and SpeechLive services are up to GDPR standard, the updated SpeechLive Service will also provide greater flexibility with account management, resolving issues with accidental account termination and payment problems.

At Speak-IT Solutions we are certified Philips Partners – Get in touch with one of our experienced Voice Technicians to learn more on how to remain GDPR compliant with your dictation workflow and speech-to-text solutions.
