There’s no doubt about it; Philips SpeechLive continues to impress at Speak-IT Solutions as the very best, secure cloud dictation service. Users are granted seemingly unlimited flexibility in their workflow, with the ability to use a dedicated device or their own smartphone, along with the browser-based dictation/transcription software. The new SpeechLive version 10 brings with it some exciting and useful new features:
The New Web Recorder
With the new SpeechLive web recorder, Advanced Business Package users are now able to create desktop dictations in the browser without the requirement of any additional dictation software. (Note: SpeechLive web recorder is not available for small business package users).
The new web recorder comes with all of the professional dictation features that you might need including; insert, overwrite, append. Also included is the addition of a recording volume level meter and the ability to assign properties to your dictations.
SpeechMike and SpeechOne Support
The new web recorder can be controlled with a Philips SpeechMike Premium or the new SpeechOne wireless dictation headset in browser mode. Alternatively, SpeechMike Premium users can control the web recorder via programmable hotkeys using the SpeechMike buttons. Learn more about the all new SpeechOne Wireless Headset here>>
With a built-in “Recover Dictation” function, the Web Recorder protects users from losing their recordings in the event of the browser window closing accidentally.
Support: the new web recorder works with Google Chrome on Windows and MacOS, and Mozilla FireFox for Windows with some small limitations.
Note: Internet Explorer, MS Edge (Windows) and Safari (Mac) are not supported.
Connection to other cloud applications via Zapier interface
From SpeechLive 10 onwards, Advanced Business Package customers now have the option to send transcribed documents and contents to other cloud-based applications via the Zapier interface.
This option is available for over 1000 applications like Salesforce, Google Docs, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox and many more!
Customers need only to sign up to Zapier.com and create a so-called “Zap” that controls the transfer of datas between SpeechLive and the other cloud applications. SpeechLive will then trigger the transfer of the defined data whenever a dictation as reached the “transcription finished” status at the end of the SpeechLive workflow.
New Online Help
SpeechLive 10 now provides comprehensive help for SpeechLive administrators and workflow users. For quick access to the online help, the toolbars of the dictation list, the web recorder, the web player as well as the account and workflow administration will include the new “?” help icon.
The online help will be available in English, German and French. Users looking for an alternative language are advised to use the Google Translate function in the address bar of the Google Chrome browser.
